On the small island of Haramsøy, laying 4 kilometres from the northwest mainland of Norway, a school has been given an exciting new extension. Haramsøy Skule, on Haramsøy in Ålesund municipality, has now received a significant upgrade that will benefit both the school pupils and the local community as a multi-purpose hall. The architect behind the project wanted to design the extension in fresh colours, and the choice fell on facade panels from Rockpanel, which in addition to being a solid choice, can be delivered in every conceivable colour.
Haramsøy Skule's new extension started construction in April 2022. This project was led by Ålesund kommunale eiendom (ÅKE) as the developer, with Consto Midt-Norge as the turnkey contractor, where Norconsult acted as architects. The handover of the Haramsøy Skules extension took place on 18 September this year, and the new building itself is expected to be ready for use around 1 December .
