Rockpanel adds to the contemporary aesthetic at Mulberry Park

Creative application 

RAL Design Colour System-matched grey panels, with colour-matched rivets, were used on several blocks as two and three storey vertical sections, some of which extended beyond the building’s footprint, while elsewhere across the scheme, the same colour was used to frame glazed balconies and terraces and in the construction of individual entrance ways, which also offered a level of privacy from neighbouring properties. 

The architectural elements created with Rockpanel add architectural sophistication and are set against elevations of mellow brick in two subtle shades, alongside simple, generously proportioned, dark grey framed windows, doors and balustrades under a mixture of slate and clay coloured roof tiles to achieve a welcoming, contemporary aesthetic. 

Lightweight, impact, moisture and fire resistant, Rockpanel derives its unique properties from the core of sustainable volcanic basalt stone wool used in its production. Bonded with an organic binder it delivers a highly resilient, weather, temperature and UV resistant facade, which remains virtually maintenance-free.

Rockpanel carries the CE quality label and is ETA certified. This means that our ranges comply with the very strict European Assessment Document. The facade can be used with European fire class A1 accredited ROCKWOOL Duo Slab® insulation within the substrate. This BBA approved, non-combustible insulation also adds thermal comfort while reducing the transfer or external airborne noise and is made from the same stone wool used in the manufacture of Rockpanel.

The surface can also be routed to create bespoke patterns and imagery. Specifiers know Rockpanel will satisfy the most stringent fire safety regulations and stay looking as good as the day it was installed, giving them the freedom to realise their most ambitious designs.  

Installation is quick and easy with a range of visible and hidden fixing options. The panels have an officially confirmed lifespan of fifty years. And when it’s time to change, they can be easily dismantled and fully recycled into new high-quality stone wool products.
