How recyclable Rockpanel products contribute to a circular economy

When it comes to sustainability, limiting the use of new valuable resources and reducing waste are very important. Rockpanel products enable you to contribute to that. It’s possible to recycle our products and use the materials again and again for new products without loss of quality. On top of that, we recycle our own production waste, give secondary materials from other industries a new life and we constantly strive to increase the number of countries in which we offer a recycling service. Rockpanel facade cladding is a fully recyclable product. That means that, when a building is demolished or refurbished, we can take our products back and use the material to produce new products. The great thing about the stone wool fibres we use, is that they won’t lose their many natural strengths over the years. That means  not only do they have a very long lifetime being part of their current construction, but also as a part of new products in the future. The recycled materials can re-enter the production process again and again to become part of new stone wool products, while we’re still able to guarantee the same level of quality.

Another big advantage when it comes to recycling is the fact that it’s very easy to completely dismantle a ventilated facade construction in which Rockpanel cladding is used. For example, a ventilated facade with Rockpanel exterior cladding, an aluminium sub-construction and ROCKWOOL insulation can be easily deconstructed and can be completely split into three clean and fully recyclable parts at the end of life of a building.
